The Vortex is a living, breathing body of spirit that is inherent in all of us. It is the mission of The Vortex Union to unlock this potential energy and make it kinetic.

With technology and e-networking demystifying life more and more each day, it is time to bring it back to the streets... back to the people. We live in a society that breeds a notion that convenience will solve our woes. In this "McDonaldized" environment, we receive less and less interpersonal communication, yet we are told that our world is getting smaller and more "user-friendly." Our "leaders" are constantly pushing this notion that we are travelling faster and faster into a new order of existence. This is far from true. The fact of the matter is that with each soul we lose to the computer legion, the great culmination of emotional energy that defines life becomes depleted. Right now, in this moment, things could not be more stagnant. Convenience, "social networking" via electronic transmission and non-committal engagement reign.

The Vortex Union seeks to smash this mode of operation by establishing direct, participatory instances of true emotional energy that inspire, liberate and incite exponential delivery and transference of energy. By this, we achieve a tangible platform of justice that is blatant, engaging and so pungent that it will fill your lungs, eyes and stomach with the bittersweet sweat from the small of our backs.

We encourage all individuals to find the voice within them that defines their person.
